A Perfect Sunday Afternoon

Since Collier was still fighting his cold, we skipped out on church so we wouldn't spread his germs to any of the other babies in the nursery.  However, he has been feeling fine, so we knew we had to get out of the house and enjoy the gorgeous warm weather.  That morning we met all of the Brinks for breakfast to celebrate Papa Jim's 86th birthday at his favorite restaurant, Ryan's Buffet (NOTE: HIS favorite, the rest of endure their food to please him).  After breakfast and naps, we headed to Spring Park in Tuscumbia.  The park was CRAZY busy as many others had the same idea we had, however we did let the boys swing and ride the train several times.

It was a windy day and we had a fun idea to head over to my parent's house and fly a kite in their back yard.  It's been at least 10+ years since I've last flown a kite but we all had such a good time getting in touch with our inner child.  Jamie was the kite flying professional and was able to get the kite HIGH in the sky, soaring above the trees and roof of my parent's house.
